The days are flying by again. I thought it may slow down a bit but it seems like I look up and the day is gone and then the week is gone and now the year is almost past me by.
Major reconstruction in the glass studio this week. We are moving a lot of stuff around. Trying to make it a better place. It is coming along but much work to accomplish. It seems we are always making it better and better. We are trying to put in a gallery in the barn so everything is moving around to make space. We need to get better lighting and shelving but great progress is being made.
I hope everyone has a wonderous new year.

It has been a wonderous season. Busy with hanging out, eating, movies, glass blowing and what not. I will try to get some photos of things from Christmas soon. My brother bought a lot of cool art while in Alaska and we are blessed with the beauty of native craftmanship.
Glass blowing has been going well. We are making some mighty fine items and I hope to get some new photos up by the end of the week as well.

Learning. Wondering. The season is the season and it brings forth a natural, predicitable set of emotions and events in life. Every year do I set myself up? Change occurs?
I do not want to make myself sick again this year. What can I do differently? Oh well.
May the peace of the season embrace the whole world.

Thinking as of late as to the nature of man. What is my nature? How do I behave, react, process, and retell? What is it that drives me? Why do I do the same things over and over; wishing to change but not changing at all? Where do the seeds of change become planted and how is it I water and tend to those seeds? Or do I pull them out by the root before growth can occur.
Heard yesterday that enlightenment comes in spirts. We gain a little and then we go back to normal mind. We do not obtain the enlightenment and keep it.
The story of the wolves inside and that which we feed, the story of the frog and the scorpion, the lady and the snake. All these things to show us a metaphor for our natures and the outcomes of those ways of being.
Last night I have a dream with Hunter S. Thompson. My nature has changed. I am not the way I once was. But then I am not sure with what I replaced that which I was. Where is the nature of the way I currently am and can I change?

I am remiss in the photography department. I was thinking it would be easy to get photos taken and posted. It is difficult. I carried around the camera for a while and it was no better in th photo taking front. due diligence.

Thursday, December 09, 2004

Well, we are planning on blowing glass this afternoon. I am excited. I do so look forward to making some good stuff. I must say I am tired too. I just do not feel like I have been getting any sleep as of late. I look forward to the time when I am all caught up on sleepiness. I try to get to bed by 10:30 or so and I wake up feeling like I hardly splept at all.
I wish I knew Yoda quotes better. Fear and Anger - - Leading to the dark side. Give these things up as soon as I become aware of them creeping into my daily life.
Do what is right. Do the next right thing. How do we know what is right. That stems from a close relationship with god. Turn to the divine and ask for guidance. The way to go will be shown. It it is not continue to turn those things over.
You know of the bull. It has two horns. We can choose the left or the right. Often times I do not make a decision and I just get run down the middle.

You good people over on Western have it so good. In the middle of the mecca of coffee shops. Throw a rock and you can hit a cup of espresso. I am tho so in the wasteland of suburbia.
I am in the process of trying to change. It is difficult. There are areas of life I neglict. Others areas I do semi-well. I try to remember I do not ever have to worry. I try to let it all go. I forget to do this in the middle of the whole of the process of living and only later remember to turn it over. Reading this morning I was once again reminded to let the will of god be done and not mine.
Getting better all the time.

Tuesday, December 07, 2004

Wishing we had a decent coffee shop in this town. I hate to think about driving clear across the city for a hazelnut latte. I just don't have time to anymore. We are thinking about getting a pod coffee maker for the studio. Nice and clean. Target has them. I think a problem is in five years, if that coffee maker is even still running, it will be impossible to find the right pod to go into it. Also, I like fresh ground coffee. I am unsure of the quality of something produced in mass and sitting on a shelf for a long time.

It has been a good day. Remember to stay centered and in peace. Tugging different directions. Still never enough time to accomplish the things necessary.

Tuesday, November 16, 2004

Well, we did get some new glass. Decided to try the Spectrum Studio Nuggets. It is already cooked glass and looks a lot like ice cubes. It was easy to charge, cooked up really well. It is a bit harder to work with until we get used to it. Best thing is we put in 50 lbs. on Sunday night and were working Monday afternoon. We did the same thing last night.
My good friend Ed was in town from New York last week. We had a good time and really helped to see the world differently again. Robin was also here from NM. It was great to have them at the house and spend time.
Not much news. We are sitting with the boys off and on this week. It should be a hoot.

Monday, November 15, 2004

It is Monday and I finally posted up the Friday Fotos. It has been a crazy, fulfilling week. I do so need a nap. Starting to gear up for the home show on December 3, 4, and 5.

Hey, crazy days once again. I got a new propane tank today for the studio. it is huge at 1000 gallon capacity. It should last us a while longer.
I have friends coming in this week from South Dakota, New Mexico and New York. It should be a hoot and a holler of a week and I wish I did not have to work. I want to take off Wednesday if possible.
All is well.

I looked at the Toyota Tacoma last night. I am thinking this may be the new vechile to get. I need to go clean out the Insight. It is over at Dorsey's I am sure he would like for it to get moved. I will have to take him a nice glass piece for the office. Dorsey is perhaps the best body shop man in town.

Vote, is it our true patriotic duty? In Oklahoma it does not even matter if your vote for the president as the electorical college has already been selected. We do need reform.
A. Give us a federal holiday for the day. Everyone deserves the day off to vote.
B. The Electorial College should be decided by percent. It should not be winner take all as it negates the voting of nearly up to half the people. In a country where they say our vote counts it really does not.
C. Coffee and doughnuts. We vote, we deserve some Krispy Kremes for our troubles.

Monday, November 01, 2004

Well, it appears they are going to total out my car. I do not know how much it is worth but thus far over $7,000 in damage. Any recommendations on a new one? I have looked at the Subaru Baja. That little Insight was a great vehicle. I really liked it. I do need something a little more praticle for the glass studio and the cabin. The milage was great in the Insight tho. I was doing my duty for the good of the air and the nation. Alas.

I am trying out the Blog Rolling. It is an automatic link feature. I would like it over on the right sibe but have not figured that out yet.
Sorry for the lack of photos. I will try to get that done today.

Friday, October 29, 2004

I will try to take some photos tonight for the Friday Foto Fun. It could be a busy evening and I really feel like going right home and to take a nap. It is a good nap day. If I do not have the oppertunity, I hope everyone has a great All's Hollowed Eve.

Why Blog?
I have been thinking about blogging or lack of blogging activity. The news people talk about blogs a lot as of late. polictical blogs expose the reality of the world while our tradional news sources pass by the real news becuase they are owned by companies with stake in the world. Religious blogs convert thousands of people to the light. Personal blogs cause lonely housewives to have affairs. Who knows. The Blog even made the cover of the Gazette a couple of weeks ago.
What is our connection to the blog? why do we blog? is it a novelity like the Icey one suggests, worn off the appeal? Does anyone really care about the goings on in my day?
How to make the blog a part of life? Come in, turn on computer, log on and check mail. Open the Internet, six or seven windows. Check online mail, check blogspots, read the news. Always keep an eye open for things of interest to others to post up via the blogger link on the Google Toolbar. You gots to have the Google Toolbar if you have not downloaded the thing it is a necessity. Anyway. There may be like four people that take a look at this blog on a regular basis. There are maybe twenty others who have ever visited it once. So whereas once I thought the blog would make me famous amoung the online readers of daily lives I am accepting the fact that no one besides the small group of readers and friends will ever come to this place. how many millions of blogs in the world? One in the digital sea.
What value? What value does the blog bring to your life? I know we all have guilt when we do not blog. Something is missing from our lives. Lives that are full and hectic and have no room for more. But we would feel no guilt if it were not important to us. Granted the only way I can keep up with Double D on a daily basis is the blog. I am a part of her life, and your lives, through reading your blogs. The connection it brings between others is a tangable reality. I know Post Lunch Dip only through a link out from Ice but it is of interest. Okay so the value of reading and "connecting" to others creates a bond of friendship if only in my mind. We need to connect with others. We need the community of friends. Those are the sustaining bonds that help us through the daily of life. The Sanga.

I am not sure why the wedding reference in the Friday Foto Fun. I was thinking of something. The Something reference just brings to the forefront the four somethings of the necessary wedding items to be worn by a bride. Maybe because we have been watching American Wedding too. Those guys are funny.
The chiropractor really tweaked my back yesterday. I am not sure how much I enjoy this process. Hopefully all will be better.

I am in decent shape. My neck is sore and shoulder too. I was able to make a couple of glass pieces yesterday so that is progress.
I was planning an ice cream social for Wednesday. I am going to put that on hold for a bit. I hope you are not too disappointed. We will reschedule. There is just to much good ice cream out there to try.

It is Friday. I was in a car accident on Tuesday evening. A fellow ran a red light and hit my car on the drivers side. I have been in bed for a couple of days. The CAT scan showed no damage. I do not remember about thirty minutes or so. Great way to spend Fall Break eh. My head hurts a bit and my shoulder too. No worries.

Tuesday, October 19, 2004

We have VOIP phones in our rooms now. How very exciting. Email me if you would like my new number. Even if I did post it here no body would call because nobody except the few coolest people in the world come here to read about my day.

I have been able to figure out how to create images for the side bar over there. View the source code for a site that has what you want (the ice chick) and then steal the code. Exchange out necessary information and beauty. Of course Blogger is giving publishing fits again. Maybe everybody in the world blogs on Friday and it is to busy of a system.
Friday Foto Fun - I am thinking that I will put up a list of about five things to photograph. If I can figure it out I will put it over on the left navigation bar. Everyone will then have a choice of items. Pick three that you would like to photograph and post the images on your blog on Friday. If you have any suggestions for the Friday Foto Fun photos let me know. I think it has good promise. You can see my photos below.

I will try to get some photos taken tonight for posting on the Friday Foto Fun.

Everything is swell. I feel like I am starting to get back into a good rythm. Things are beginning to flow again and I do not have that feeling missing something somewhere. Nuture those good feelings. Grow with them and in them. Wrap yourself in the blanket of warmth that is the spirit of the universe. Take comfort there.
Don't forget to make a request for the Friday Foto Fun. Some pics I would like to see... Everyone's front door, everyone's tattoo, everyone's car or vehicle of choice, everyone's kitchen sink, Everyone's collection of what every they collect. What do I need to do to get you all to play along?
Peace out good people.

Propane, it is the fuel of the future, the fuel of our lives. The fuel that runs dry. I use propane in the studio. I am on the keep full program. The propane company does a very poor job of keeping it full as I am out of propane. Totally out. I ran the 330# tank dry. I called on Saturday. They used to deliver on Saturdays. Not anymore. And now with the rain it is too wet to drive the truck back to fill up the tank. If I could charge them for time lost...
But as they say, "A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on our part."

Sunday, October 10, 2004

This rain is nice. We will be working around 2 this afternoon in the studio. Pumpkin day.

The Weary Pilgrim

The Weary Pilgrim
Well, not sure if you figured yet but there are the major three I do not talk about on my Blog; politics, religion, and something else.
I found this site by a link from a visit to my site and it is really interesting.
I do think that the blog is better without the three but I do not know how long I can refrain from the discussion of the elements in life that bring forth passion, anger, and bliss.
May Peace Prevail on Earth

This looks interesting and promising.
My good friend Bob was able to create a table to get the moon code to work. I copied his work and pow all is well, at least better. I was able to take that code and put it in DreamWeaver. Brainstorm. You can see code and the visual of the page at the same time. Add a bit, take away a bit, center, whatever works. I had not considered this before.
Now the moon code is showing at the bottom of the blog and it really looks good there. I would like it up on the left nav. bar but it is for more advanced coding. I think I will copy the whole blog code down to dreamweaver and tinker.

Wondering what happened to the T-Blog. I meant to ask the other day but did not want to cause offense. I did have a very pleasureable visit to the offices of our DD and Ice Chick. I wanted to see the cave but did not have the oppertunity either. I will just have to visit again.

Sunday. Slept late and watching HGTV. I really want to put in a garden pond and stream to our big pond. The big pond leaks though and I first have to find a way to patch it up.
We will be blowing around 2:00 this afternoon. More pumpkins. Some green glasses, and a show piece if time allows. Hopefully get several folks working together.
What to do for a late breakfast?
They suggest a Friday Five for Fun. What three things would you as a reader like to see a photo of on my blog? Let me know in the comments and I will try to get a snapshot posted. This sounds like a good new Friday Five challenge for all of us blog people.
I did see a new photo phone. There are really coming along in technology.

This is the Bodum Santos Vac Pot. The water is below and the coffee grind is at the top. The pressure caused the water to go into the upper chamber via a tube. The water brews with the grind, I like about two minutes. Pull it off the heat and the coffee flows into the bottom chamber. Thims makes a great cup of joe.  Posted by Hello
Saturday. Just put on a pot of coffee to cook up. Yesterday I had several good cups. I even got the most sacred of coffee here in Okie City at Coffee Dan's. Over at BCCY Jim was talking about the GodShot or the GodCup. Coffee Dan's does much to fit that bill. Last night we ate at the Garden on Second and Santa Fe in Edmond. Friday Buffett. Really very good Mediterean food stuff.
I plan on blowing glass this weekend. Saturday after 2 and Sunday after 2 again. Making good stuff me hopes. The studio is just east of Lake Arcadia. Four miles east of I-35 to Post Road. 1.7 miles south on Post to 2801. Big red stone house. The studio is out back in the barn.
See you here.

We had dinner tonight with Christopher Curtis. There are a few perks to having stake in a resturant (no pun intended). Very nice supper.
I ordered 2.2 lbs. of El Rey chocolate. It is most excellent. You must drop by sometime and have a nibble. Rich full bodied. Not to bitter for 70% cocao content. It is the San Joaquin Private Reserve. This is a highly recommended choice in chocolate. Me thinks you will try it and will not be able to not order yourself some. Treat yourself. Few vices. This one is worth it.

Author visit today from Christopher Paul Curtis. It was great. He is perhaps the best speaker I have seen in a while. Humor, relation, and style. It was most enjoyable. If I were a reader I think I would try to read one of his books.

Catholic Ragemonkey

Catholic Ragemonkey: "coffee"
Searching today at the new Google Local I came across a linkage to this site. I did not realize that Guymon would have intellictually stimulating folks. I always picture the panhandle as a desolate place. Granted I enjoy the drive through that part of the country on the way to Colorado. I really enjoyed it this summer with the coolness still in the air and green grass on the Llano.
Anyway I was searching Coffee Shops in Oklahoma City. There are links out to referrers. I am wondering why my Oklahoma City Coffee Connection did not make the list of referrers. Well it could be it is a lousy site and is not kept up and nobody visits anyway...
Be well

Ever have something in mind. Something that just sounds right. and then without any real disturbance in the force that thing does not manifest. I had breakfast in mind. What I wanted. The taste of the coffee. The scent of the french toast. the mingling of chicken sausage with the sounds all around. Alas. it did not happen. Now I am sad.

Working in the studio around 2:00 today. It looks to be a beautiful day. Looking forward to creating and making some glass. Drop by if you get the chance.

Overwhelmed. It is almost to much at this point. The solutions I have in mind. The thing that would be best are not necessarily the chosen way. Of course why would my way be better? I do not know that it would be. I do not see everything and every aspect. A limited prespective that is ofter eskew. With out seeing the whole it is easy to have a solution. And even easier to critize and complain out the others solution.
I need to spend a full weekend up here just working on computers getting things in good order once again. I just do not have the time nor do I feel that it is something I should devote a full weekend to doing and then if I do there will be another project.

Does anyone out there understand Rules in GroupWise? It is strange. I am missing something somewhere.
Did i tell you about the Korean House? SW 29th and Sunnylane. Well east of Sunnylane about half a mile or so. Sort of next too and behind Arby's. Great food. Beef shortribs last night. Beef Bigogi is good a bit sweet on the sauce. The ribs were fantastic. The side dishes are to die for. KimChee. Sprouts. Go there if you get the chance.

Woot! Are you a techno crazed shopper? This may be the place for you. One item every day. Not a lot I would purchase but some past items of interest.
I keep forgetting to turn on my Yahoo! IM. It conflicts on startup with our ZenWorks and new GroupWise so I had to turn off the auto startup feature and even tho it is on the desktop I forget to engage.
The new email is going to be a trip. It seems to be working now. I think we will get used to the new system with time. A lot of training needs to be conducted that is for sure.
The new k12 planet rolls out this week too. It is going to be difficult to say the least to get everyone on the same page.
Oh yeah, 42nd street Candy Co. I got a Valor dark chocolate with almonds. Should have skipped the nuts. Great candy bar. rich and full bodied. slightly bitter. Their Neuhaus is probably a little better. They do have the 85% Cocao from Lindt too.
Peace again.

Going and blowing. It was a great weekend. My brother came in from Santa Fe and we blew some good glass. A twelve hour day for me on Saturday. I can't drink enough water at this point. I know. Pictures are coming soon. I have my camera sitting right here.
Zack ordered two dozen MeltAway cookies from the Red Velvet Bakery on Second and Coltrane. You have heard me speak of the most excellent cookies from this great place. If you can you must try these Melt-Away's. They are going to be making some this next weekend for a party and usually make extra for the public. They are hard to come by. Worth it. so very worth it.
Did I tell you I could not find the El Rey Chocolates at the Cresant Market. They had never heard of them. But they did have the best selection of Lindt Chocolates. The dark chocolate with Hazelnuts is most excellent.

This is the art work I have submitted for the 12x12. It is called "The Bowl of the Fisher King". I was watching Six Feet Under the Claire was talking about nameing art. The next day Julia asked what I wanted to name this piece. Fisher in homage to the show. but then the rest just to sound a little mystical. Posted by Hello
