We have posted new photographs of some of our currect glass blowing work. Brent set up the camera and slide film and spent about a day taking photos for submissions into arts festivals. Good stuff. I hope every one has a wonderful new year.

Filled up at the Flying J. I say filled up but I have not hit the true full mark in who knows how long. I just don't seen to ever have enough on me to fill up all the way. That being said I have not got an accurate reading on the MPG on the Tacoma as of late. I would like to know how much I am getting a gallon.
It is difficult to see but there is some great frost on the windshield this morning. Perfect starlike crystals formed from the cold air and the wiper fluid. I have not found my good ice scraper so I need to drop by the local auto supply store to find a good one. This is Post Road in the morning too, on my way. It was a beautiful sky this morning as well. It should be a great day.
Have a good Thanksgiving if I do not talk to you all before then.
Here is the torch fired up for lampworking or bead making. It is fun and relatively easy. Brent has open torch night every Tuesday. Drop by and have a seat and make some beads. Brent will give a lesson on how to make different shapes and objects. We have everything you need at the studio for a successful bead making experience.

This is a good site for Fonts. I like Fonts they can be fun. I am really looking for a site/software where one can create their own fonts for free.

We had brunch at La Bagette. It was very tastey. The French Toast was sort of breaded. It had a crunchy coating of goodness. They had strawberries and whipped cream which I got on the side. The coffee was good too. Strong and flavorful. They also have a gourmet grocery inside the place. Looks like great cheeses and meats and breads. Check it out if you get the chance.

Great food, great friends, great atmosphere, great waitress, great manager, even a great website.
This photo was after desert. I did not get one of the meal. I had a cheese plate that was outstanding. Three cheeses for $12. I had the swiss, hard goat, and the blue. wonderful presented the cheeses satisfied the palate. This is a must have item if you are into cheese or even like cheese, or even if you are afraid of cheese.
Angela got the Fried things and they were tastey. She also had the soup of the day and found it could have been the whole meal. She also got the Beets.
Joe and Joy our friends got salmon and the fish for dinner they like it muchly.
I had the Pasta Entree. I do not dig red sauces so they changed it up and went with a penne pasta and butter sauce. Rarely, have I been to a place that will make something off the menu so easily and happily. The pasta had shrimp, mussels, and lobster. It was coated in a nice parmasean cheese that melted in nicely. Probably one of the best pasta meals I have had in a long while.
The Manager Wade brought us out desert. Chocolate tort with some chesscake layer and graham cracker crust. It was a delight. Smooth and tastely. the chocolate was understated and sweet without being sugary. It was no trouble to finish it off. Everyone liked the lemon tort except for Joy. The filo dough something was good too but if chocolate is on the table why eat anything else.
So Cafe Nova located on Western and like 43rd is my most recommended new place to eat in OKC. The price may be a bit out of reach but for a treat it is most worth it.
Ice will like the bar to be sure.

This is from the Flying J 11-15-05 around 9:30 pm. I think it is still the best price in town at $1.91. Predictions? Will gas go back up next week to gear up for Thanksgiving travel or stay low so at least George won't get any more heat for the price at the pump?

I had my french toast for breakfast at the 501 Cafe this morning. I really dig their FT. If you make in on a Sunday morning get there at least 15 minutes before 11 or there is a wait. Ask for Bill if he is working and tip him big as he is going to be a teacher some day.
Good coffee, too.

Wednesday, November 09, 2005
$2.02 at 7-11 this morning on the way to work. Last night at Flying J it was $1.95. Still about the best in town I suppose. Saving seven cents a gallon is not a lot until you add it up. $25 to fill up and I was able to save $1.75 or was able to purchase almost a whole gallon more of petro fuel.

The process of cutting in a line where the paperweight breaks free of the punty is called jacking. Here is a paperweight being jacked by one of our students at Blue Sage. Again the focus is a bit off but almost right on. The biggest reason for the blur is the constant movement of the glass.
We celebrated the birthday of Angela's friend Bobby at El Parian in Edmond this eveing. 29. It was a tastey meal of Flautas. Their Sopapia's are really a taste treat as they are small little pillows. Angela had the goat platter. It was really quite good. Check out this place when you can.

I took this on my new Motorola 330. I then sent it around the web and researched and found the go.blogger.com feature. Send in a photo and it posts to the web. Just a couple of settings to change. If I keep doing this I will have to update my phone service to account for the increase in text and images being sent. I think this is very keen and I think the moblog is going to rule the world.
Show us some photos you have taken via your phones and what not...

Fortune over at BCCY has noted that $*'s is not really in the coffee selling business. They make milkshakes. I finally understand the appeal. I love a good milkshake. Add a bit of coffee to a milkshake and I like it all the more. Add some chocolate and whipped cream and I will put four dollars down on the counter with neary a thought.

Ask for the Mocha Java Freeze. Sonic Ice, strong coffee, whipped cream, chocolate syrup. What more could anyone want especially at 10:30 at night. Woo Hoo!
Go there now!
I am accessing my blogger site and some features are gone. Sites and content are blocked. I am frustrated with this blocking software. It blocks by word and some good stuff gets filtered out.
Drew makes coffee every morning. Much better then stopping at 7-11. Now don't get me wrong 7-11 makes good stuff with sugar and half-n-half, any coffee is better. But Drew's is strong and fresh and tastey.

The trip was good. I really enjoyed South Dakota and everything and everyone up there. It was perhaps the best trip I have had up there to date. It just gets better. I hope everyone there continues to be well.
Not much news. School starts soon and will be busy. I am looking forward to a great year too.
It is good to be back.

I am packing and getting ready to my trip. It shold be a good one. I got some new boots for the journey. Always a good thing.
All is well.
I have been trying to get caught up on everything. Here is my pattern. I know this and I still struggle with it. I wait. I have things to do. I know they need to be done. I wait. Deadlines pass but I figure I can let it slide. Then I come to a deadline of doing or not doing. They need to be done. I have no choice but to do them or not. No longer can let it slide. Do the thing takes really very little effort or time. It is in the doing I lack.
I think this post is similar to one from about six months ago. Continue to repeat the same thing. Knowing today the results will be similar. Talk about your crazy defects of character.

We have gone the way of the hunter/gatherer societies of old. Granted on the planet there are still small bands or tribes who practice the sustanible living traditions of their forefathers and survive as part of the ecosystem. Modern culture however is living in the information age. Thinking of the hunter/gatherer I figure that people are now hunters and gatherers of information.
With blogs and RRS feeds and information flowing in from all directions (check out google news) we have developed our skills to assumulate information as if we were hunting bison on the great plains.
The social order to the blog culture comes into play next. Those people who are on top of the social order for the information they gather and then dispurse to others. I have not read Andrew Sullivan but from what I am aware he would be like the high priest of the blogger sect. Wondering then do we have the heros and antiheros of myth built into our blogs. Dawn, goddess of the power light, Todd the Loki of the web, Kim the Demeter online, Ice Chick the Venus on a circut chip. It makes one wonder.

I think the time change has really effected me in a negative way. I go to bed on time but can not seem to rise at the right time. I just keep hitting snooze. Gimme back my hour. It would be worth living in Arizona.
Have a great weekend. Be sure to visit the blue sage studios blog to keep up to date on happenings at the studio and glassblowing there. I will try to get a posting up of Spring and summer shows soon too.

Check out this website. You can claim a grid on the map. It is a bit tedious but very cool indeed. You can go by longitude and latitude. Upload a small picture. Provide a link. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

I have been remiss in updating the FFF. It is not difficult but I just keep running out of time. I do not have time to take a photo much less change the headings. I figured if I do not change the headings I do not have to take the photo. Poor logic to be sure but effective none the less.
Thanks for sticking with me.

Last night Angela and I ate at Kang's Asian Kitchen. I can not tell you how good it was. It is difficult to try something new at times. We love asian food and were nervous. Now when Zack and I visited China we found a place in Beijing that served the best Peiking Duck. Last night at Kang's I ordered the Peiking Duck. It was incrediable. The flavor was great. I highly recommend it. Angela had Thai Basil Chicken. Again, great flavor. Excellent melding of ingredients. She also got some wrinkle beans that were really good from a guy that does not like beans too much. The only thing lacking was the Cafe Su Da. I like my Vietmanese Iced Coffee a little stronger and sweeter. This was not quite right but probably would be for some. The atmosphere was really good. great colors. very comfortable. Great date place. Also a gathering of couples place. And I would think a family would enjoy it too. We are definately going back.

Fight Club was on last night. That movie is halirious.
How then do we better bring God into the everyday. I try to live in the middle. Avoid the high and the low. Do I miss the presence of God because I miss those extremes? I think bringing the spirit of universe into the daily is vital and key as human beings.
My buddy Ron said that God is like a radio station that is broadcasting everyday all the time. It is up to us to tune our personal radios into the God station.
