Darjeeling Unlimited

Wes Anderson makes movies. They are typically unique and insightful. I am a fan. I don't know much but I like his works. Darjeeling is really very good. Characters, development, acting, nuance. Little things. Whereas in Zissou I felt like I was watching an inside joke and I was on the outside, this one is like hanging out with old friends. I highly recommend this film too bad it is only on at one theater in the metro area.

It is a fine little movie.

I am sorry that you didn't get Zissou. A lot of people seem to feel the same way. I tend to think it was a brilliant story about getting older and dealing with abandoned dreams.

It took me a second viewing to get it.

I agree with French dude. I enjoyed Zissou after seeing it a few times, quite endearing, but I never felt the outsider. I will say this, must pay attention to Mr. Anderson. Close your eyes, you miss much.
