morning Zen

Knowing the mind and the workings of the mind does not seem to make much difference in actions. My dad needed me to bring some ornaments to him for today. Yesterday at the studio I remembered and got a box, wrapped the ornaments and packaged them up. Leaving the box of ornaments on a chair I had things to do and the thought comes to put the box in the truck. Wandering around working and cleaning and getting ready I look over, think put the box in the truck but yet keep working. Leaving the studio for the night I did not even look over at the box of ornaments. Driving home near midnight at I-35 and Wilshire I remember the ornaments. Get off. Turn around. Back to the studio to pick up and deliver the box of ornaments.
Bonus was there was some granola from Big Sky Bread.
Big Sky Bread Company
I got to dine on yummy goodness on the way back the P's house.
And so. The mind knows what I need to do. It tells me and reminds me. I choose not to listen or at least not to act. And so I need to learn to take the appropriate action.

Zen Habits

The 10 Key Actions That Finally Got Me Out of Debt; or, Why Living Frugally is Only Part of the Solution | Zen Habits
This looks to be a good site with real life information and experiences.

Morning Zen

The moment. In getting things done it seems that waiting is usually the manner in which to make things happen. Put it off until it can not be put off any longer. Do it quickly with little pain in the process of accutally preforming the task and yet tremendous pain in the lead up to the action. Removal of the pain. Do things immediately when possible and then a discernible order. Project by project, action by action, nap by nap.

Morning Zen

There is something about the air this time of year that produces in the morning sky the most beautiful colors. Something about the Moon and Venus sharing the sky with the blues, greens, pinks, and whites of the morning. If I could capture that in glass...
And so the day begins with peace. Capture that peace of nature, nurture that peace in your heart. Share that peace with all to whom you grace.

Golden red sunrise over green and brown and red morning fields, mist in the valley of the lake rising. crescent moon in pale blue sky with morning stars fading in coming light. Chilly air, frost on the brown grass. Kittens scurry for warmth.

Morning Zen

move. don't be still. act. don't react. Be and do. but sit. breathe. wait. meditate on the fullness of existence.
