Morning Zen

And so it goes. We say do the next right thing. How does one know the next right thing. How to choose the direction for the next. Where is inspiration? Keep thinking that thing will simply appear and I will know. Questioning that today. It has not shown yet, will it?

...to know what the next right thing may be is to know what the "end in mind" is...
The end in mind gives one direction...direction points the way....in a moment of contemplation think what "ends in mind" you have...there are probably at least four....one for you in your personal goals, one for
your financial goals, one for career goals, and one, well, one for retirement and how you would like to live in retirement.....
there are probably others, but starting with an end in mind will give you some perspective and maybesome motivation to pursue...if we know not what we are pursuing, we have no direction to start...and no motivation...many person's lives are much like this...we simply pursue existance, somehow defined by those around us and those in "control" of our environment....like the bear in the zoo...trodding back and forth over the same path without a potential for getting anywhere...and the monontony of life sets in....
best wishes...

Oh JJ, you are such a wise soul. How could you give this poor boy such misguided advice? There is only one true asnswer to this question. It has been in place since the begining of time. Adam and Eve ring a bell? Read the following carefully. Very carefully...

THE REAL MAN'S GUIDE TO ALWAYS DOING THE NEXT RIGHT THING

1. Ask your wife. She will tell you exactly what the next right thing is.

2. If you are not married, ask your girlfriend.

3. No wife or girlfriend, ask your mother.(if none of the above exist in your life, you have been making wayyyy too many decisions unassisted. Cease thinking immediatly and go to your best friend's mother now!)

4. Never, under any circumstances, mix up the order of command. For example, if you have a wife but ask your mother, you will suffer dire consequences so great you may never recover. Very bad. And asking the girlfriend before the wife is a sure death sentence; pick out your coffin now.

5. If you make a decision on your own with no assistance, it will be wrong. And when it blows up in your face, which it will, you will be given the ultimate punishment of hearing "I told you so" for the rest of your sad little days on this planet.
