Morning Zen

Love. This day is a celebration of love. One day to remember flowers, chocolates, dinner, peace and the tranquility of love. Or not.

Flip Video

Flip Video
A recent purchase for the classroom. Available at Sam's Club unless they sell out again. It is a very easy to use camcorder. Point and shoot. Slight zoom feature. Good quality. Easy to plug into the computer to download video from the camera. Save for use in Movie Maker or edit the film with software on the camera. I would highly recommend this for classrooms wanting an easy video production alternative.
Reviews posted on Amazon are mixed. A lot of five stars, a few one stars.

Breakfast Burrito

It is difficult to find a breakfast burrito in Edmond. One would think...but no, not really.
Cafe 501 on a Saturday or Sunday, not open for the breakfast on the weekday.
I was at Tropical Cafe the other day for a cup of coffee while getting my tires rotated.
It reminded me of how good it is but just off my path of travel. Strange that Second and Kelly is off my path. They make a very nice breakfast meal. They are a crepe like thing. Serving Seattle's Best coffee to boot.
In OKC. I remember a glorious breakfast burrito, but where...?
Albequerque NM - the patio by the university. Santa Fe - Atomic

Now I am hungry, thanks a lot douglas.

Nortel LearniT

Nortel LearniT
I found this resource today. Very good materials for integrating technology in to the curriculum.

Morning Zen

Renewal. Gaining new insights to the self and patterns of behavior. Not really good or bad just undesirable actions. Why fall into this with such ease? It is a not even thinking activity. That may be the trouble in that no thought was given. No consideration. Just action. Not being of purity and goodness then the pure action contains impurity.

3:10 Egg Trivia

We watched 3:10 to Yuma a couple of nights ago. Great movie. A true western and very well acted. It was a great story that did not seem to present itself it that way during the theater run.
In the movie Russel Crowe goes to Bisbee. In another movie he goes to Bisbee.
Be the first to name the movie and win a nice little bud vase from Blue Sage.

I ate at Pop's on Tuesday night. It is flip night when you can get half off your meal if you call the toss correctly. I did not not. Pictured is a Chicken Fried Steak. It was a very tasty meal. Nice crunchy breading, mashed potatoes, okra, and a salad. I had thought about giving up fried food for lint. Slowly I seem to be losing options in that area.

Inbox Zero

I have noticed that when I practice the Get Things Done and 43 Folders technique of Inbox Zero I do feel not as overwhelmed. When email arrives address it. Move the emails into appropriate folders or tag them in GMail and move them to the archive. Clear them out. Pressing things leave as a reminder but if it can not be accomplished immediately create a folder/tag for that purpose, star it even for later. Clean it out. Declutter the virtual world. Carry that over to the paper world.

Morning Zen

Direction, knowing which way to go, which way to turn, reading the sign posts, interpreting the events, hidden meanings in the syncronicity of the universe. The stacks of cairn rocks of old to tell the traveler which way to go, the movement of a branch to follow a path, "if I knew the way I would take you there". I got to the office. One of the objects of my life had fallen off the shelf and was on the floor. Why? How did it fall? What is the significance of the event? If nothing else it did prompt me to think. To engage again.

Morning Zen

Ever have the feeling that something has changed but not really sure what it is that has changed? Looking around those things that once thought to be permenate and comforting and there are no longer? Creating a sense of self doubt and fear. Irrational fear based on nothing. But difficult to decide to move forward or any other way.

Morning Zen

That moment of singularity. It occurred at Philo.
My friend Stephen was there. He called yesterday. Odd how that can be sometimes.
