Buzz

The Google Buzz came in via gmail yesterday. I am still trying to figure it out. I am wondering how to use it effectively. I am on a host of social media websites. I try to use them in a productive manner. I am typically not a social person so it is interesting to be linked in to a social network so very against my nature.
I would love to hear some ideas on Google Buzz and how to make the most of it.

Coupon

Google Maps has the ability for business owners to create coupons associated with their business and location in a search. It is a very cool aspect of this product. Check out the Blue Sage Studios Coupon. Print it out, bring it by the studio this weekend (or any time really) for a 10% discount!

Exhusted

This testing is killer. It is almost over. Then this afternoon I gave a presentation on Google and the possibilities of Web 2.0. Fun stuff. I think the teachers really enjoyed it.
If you have not yet heard. I had my computer stolen on Monday Night/Tuesday Morning. Be sure to back up any important information. Password protect vital things. I am changing my credit cards, bank accounts and passwords.
Be on the lookout for a Compaq Zeon Computer and an HP 1300 printer, digital camera, NetGear wireless router...

Testing, testing, 1,2,3

Wow. We are testing this week for geography. Online in the library. I am away from my computer all week.
I have an inservice on Thursday. I am presenting about Web 2.0 and the Google tools and gadgets available to teachers and the world. It should be great fun. Starting with GMail, then to Picasa and Blogger, Google Desktop and Toolbar, Google Docs, RSS Reader, and more. I think if I get get teachers engaged personally with the software they will use it and then find ways to incorporate it into the curriculum.
