Tao Te Ching Chapter 21
I agree, Mac, this is a very good chapter. I think it is giving us a road map. I also think this chapter warrents another look tomorrow. THe mind is blank right now.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 20
Again contradictions arise. What I see as one way there is another way to view. I suppose like facets on a diamond any experience upon which is entered will be different views. What appeal is there in this, in being this way?

Tao Te Ching Chapter 19
Interesting. Again I am reminded to let it go. Do not hang on to the things around. Do not place value upon the external. The internal the thoughts , feeling, and then actions should be based upon the right thought the right way. Removal of the ego from all of that and to give wholely and unconditionally to others. to my relations and to the world. Progress not perfection it is said.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 18
Tao Te Ching Chapter 18
This one is scary having just seen V, is for Vengence. Great movie. Highly recommed it. It is a good dose of a utopian future that is not all that utopian. Once you get used to not seeing the mouth moving on V it is not so bad, sort of a voice from no where at times.
Any way the tenants here I thought were good things in and of themselves and yet when put into the context of Chapter 18 the results of these good items is a negative. Seen anywhere at work in today's society?

Tao Te Ching Chapter 17
Tao Te Ching Chapter 17
The very highest we get glimpses of now and again. It is a true pleasure. I heard a while back that one who is enlightened does not have to stay enlightened, it is a sort of state or way of being of which one can drift in and out. The glimpse of the divine occurs with us in many ways and I am sure we are not even aware of what it is we are witnessing.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 16
Tao Te Ching Chapter 16
Rise and fall. We watch and wait and are active and moving and doing and hopefully just being. Wait. relax. Did you ever go to the beach and sit and watch the waves come in. Twilight as the night begins to over take and last vestige of blue in the sky. Watching the water turn darker, watching the sky turn darker. Pin pricks of light coming through the curtain of night and the moon low sort of shimmers on the water. The sound of the waves rise and fall. rythm of the earth. laying on the sand half buried by the last warmth.
Great Island on Cape Cod. about half way down to the point. That is the essence of nature.
Peace

Tao Te Ching Chapter 15
Tao Te Ching Chapter 15
I am not sure if anybody else reads the Tao. The Tao Te Ching is the Book of Changes or the book of the way. It is a collection of chapters written sometime like around 4 BC in China by Lao Tsu. We saw the birthplace of Lao Tsu when we were visiting China.
I think that this chapter is key in the view of others. We do not know much of anything outside of ourselves. We only know the appearance of things and can then infer or put ourselves into that which we see. Thus when we look at those things we each see something different is what we see is really a reflection of ourselves.
When I look at those things the 10,000 things can I view them and the master is described? Can I remain still and really see or do I glance around the only catch the reflection of myself in the world of which I am surrouned?

aboatman - aboatman's Google Page
This is my new site at Google Pages. It is an easy to create website interface that publishes right up to google. No trouble at all. This is really very cool. The features are straitforward and the pages look pretty good. It is sort of blogger like but different too.
