Coffee Musings
The world comes together as it should and as it is, fighting the nature of things is part of the learning process. Fighting it and then figuring out how to stop fighting it. Figuring out how to step into the stream and flow with the nature of the world.

Movie Quote Friday
And the movie quote of the week...
First one in with the correct answer to Movie and Character is the big winner of a lovely blue handblown glass vase.
"So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice."

Morning Zen
dreams, windows? processing? Why remember? Guideposts for some, nonsense for others, television for the night time still.
Achieving the get things done and the stillness of the zen mind and the emptying of the vessel (inbox zero) that is something. the inbox is the thing to do. it is the vessel holding all of the things of life (gmail has the labels necessary for organizing life in said vessel) and the vessel becomes useful when it is empty. A full vessel can hold no more and runs over which is good and "if your cup is full may it be again". So in having an empty inbox on the email you prepare yourself for more to come. Not filled with the clutter of the day the mind is also able to be filled again. And so it goes. and there is a new site that deals with getting things done with a good take on it all.

CAFE CITY ARTS
CITY ARTS CENTER
Come to the Cafe City Arts this Friday. What great fun. This is one of the best shows the city has to offer. I had a preview last night. It is one of those times I wish I had a job which would afford me the opportunity to purchase art on a regular basis because this is the event where I would buy.

Morning Zen
ever dream of being weightless? floating in the air, jumping, ease.
There are scarf dancers at the Cafe City Arts show on Friday. I dream sometimes of that freedom from gravity. Pervasive is that force in our lives. one we seem to not be able to escape. That thing that pulls us and keeps our bodies and yet frees our minds.

Morning Zen
Today is a beautiful day. realization of who we are and what we are and the events of life that laid impressions upon us to dictate our being. We can change. We can alter our core reactions to outside influences.

Coffee musings
The memory of man tied to scent and flavor. Coffee born into our genes and souls, waking to that primal. Remember sitting on the kitchen counter at Florences waiting for the coffee to brew. The smell the warmth the steam. Mary could not use sugar so we used that old liquid sweetner. The Carpenders playing on a record. Balance, reflect, connect, delight. Odd is the promotion of philosophy and a blend of spirituality to sell coffee as a lifestyle.
Morning Zen
Breathe deep. Oh yes, the wheel. Thirty spokes. It is turning. can't slow down, can't let go, can't hold on. Arbitrary eh.
