Classen Grill

Brunch at the Classen Grill. It was good. The French Toast is not really French Toast at all but bread dipped in Pancake Batter and then cooked in the manner of a pancake. Odd. It was not bad but I like french toast I am not be huge fan of the pancake.

Morning Zen

Dawn. Arrives again as predicted. Prayer. Ritual. Space. The physicality of the world surrounding reminders to be. What are those things which drive us to be today. Remember them. Take new notice of them. The sign on the mirror in the morning. The totem hanging from the rear view mirror. The book of meditation on the coffee table. The daily that has become accustomed needs renewed. Do not act in merely ritual. awaken once again.

movie quote friday

First to get the movie and character....

“A teacher has two jobs: fill young minds with knowledge, yes, but more important, give those minds a compass so that that knowledge doesn't go to waste.”

Mourning

We celebrate the life of a friend today. A beloved man dedicated to life, to youth, to adventure passed into the next world overnight. Randy Hart was a friend and fellow teacher here. With loving care he provided guidance and knowledge. Peace to you my brother.

Morning Zen

The separation. I am not sure when it started. Not sure if it is a socialital thing, a cultural thing, a "progress" result. Man vs. Nature. Man vs. Man. Man vs. Self. Novels are written. At times if feels I am so apart from nature. I do not look at the moon to see it's fullness. I look at a gadget on my computer desk top that shows 93% full. I do not notice the flowers in bloom consumed instead by the color of shoes that need to be shined. I notice the red in the traffic light instead of the reds of the sunset.

Morning Zen

Afternoon Zen. It was stated, one can start the day over at any time. It is never to late to turn our selves over to the universal.

Morning Zen

Behold the jewel in the lotus. Om Mani Padme Hum
There is a mantra. A repetition that brings us into communion with the divine. Interesting that communion as dichotomy with the physical/intellectual of the world.

Morning Zen

Touching Grace. Stroking the hair of the divine. That is the picture to hold today I think. In communion with the spirit of the universe and nurturing that relationship. Revel in it.
