Morning Zen

A beautiful calm in the whirlwind of life. The center. Getting to the center we must walk through that storm, through the winds to be at the calm.

Morning Zen

Acceptance. Seems to be one of the keys to happiness and peace. Acceptance is not resignation. There is not the defeat in acceptance. Just a release of the weight. The struggle continues. The fight of the good fight. The chop wood and carry water.

Morning Zen

Eyes bigger then my stomach. More, more consume consume. What I want and what I need and what I desire and deserve. Stand back and re-assess and see. Grand schemes aside. What I want and what I can afford are often different. Go back to the basics of budgeting and saving. and zero debt goals.

Morning Zen

Life is good. Simple and easy. A mantra.
Thinking about my friends today, Tony and Roanne. Roanne is in the hospital in Houston. It sounds like everything went well with her surgery. She is on the road to recovery. Pray.
Peace.

Morning Zen

That is funny. Like hard wired. It seems I strive and work and learn and develop and reach and grow, at least I hope so. And then whatever it is that happens in life. could be small, could be big, just an occurrence in life and then. Like going back to somewhere else in my mind in my reactions in my being. Growth or appearance of growth is simply gone to the wayside. Leaves behind something basic.
Wonder if there are those who are hard wired to be at a higher level.

Morning Zen

Riding the waves, I think life must sometimes be like surfing except for the fact I have only been on a board once and my balance is so very bad I could not stand up on it even while it lay in the sand on the beach far from the water. But the analogy (or metaphor or some figure of speech) holds in that there is a top and a bottom and forward motion and sometimes we crash and sometimes we ride it all the way to shore and then go back out and catch the next one.
So ride it well.

Morning Zen

Some days it is like stepping out of a storm cellar to find the storm outside is still in full swing. But once outside the protecting of the cellar we must stay and bear through the winds and rain. Hold Fast!

why do I have to shrink and go away so someone else gets to grow?"
