Movie Quote Friday

What a lovely weekend. If you are out and about be sure to drop by the Downtown Edmond Arts Festival. Here you can find our booth and lots of good stuff to eat.

The movie quote this week will bring about a winner selected at random from all the correct comments. The prize is a lovely vase like glass object.

"Only 600 miles to the south, there's a vast city. And here you find civilized man. Civilized man refused to adapt himself to his environment. Instead he adapted his environment to suit him. So he built cities, roads, vehicles, machinery. And he put up power lines to run his labour-saving devices. But he didn't know when to stop. The more he improved his surroundings to make life easier the more complicated he made it. Now his children are sentenced to 10 to 15 years of school, to learn how to survive in this complex and hazardous habitat. And civilized man, who refused to adapt to his surroundings now finds he has to adapt and re-adapt every hour of the day to his self-created environment. For instance, if it's Monday and 7:30 comes up, you have to disadapt from your domestic surroundings and re-adapt yourself to an entirely different environment. 8:00 means everybody has to look busy. 10:30 means you can stop looking busy for 15 minutes. And then, you have to look busy again. Your day is chopped into pieces. In each segment of time you adapt to new circumstances."

Morning Zen

Wonder sometimes what is best. Which approach is the most logical and good. So often we just do not know and must try something just to see how it goes. Does not work. Try something other.

The MakeUp Bar

The MakeUp Bar
I like the MakeUp Bar. It is a great place to find really nice products for skin care. This is my number one place to pick up stocking stuffers at Christmas too. They are celebrating 9 years. This weekend after stopping at the Edmond Arts Festival head down Western to the MakeUp Bar for some cool stuff.

Morning Zen

Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Maybe it is time to try something different. A small adjustment in method. Turning a block early to get on the otherside of the street. Setting the clock five minutes earlier so Snooze can be tapped again. Nothing major, just a change.

Coffee Musings

Woke the other night with memory of a past wrong. Consulted with a fellow on how to make right. Took action to do so. One more weight lifted.
It is a good thing.

Morning Zen

It is the way that it is. I read somewhere that a fellow really disagreed with that statement. I think he was thinking of the change. Attitude and approach to the way it is. What can be done? When nothing is done, nothing is left undone. catch the wave

Morning Zen

Spiritual food. Thinking of manna, falling from the heavens and blessing the people. Food for the spirit, of the spirit. Making a plate of food for the spirit. Giving forth of the bounty of our daily living.
