This simple pleasure is why I hated my incredibly expensive Krups coffee maker. It was so perfectly sealed it let nothing out or in including smells. I felt cheated in the morning and incomplete. Now I have the ultimate: the percolator. I get smells and that wonderful, unique sound. And the taste is pretty cool, too. It is the simplest of things that makes life grand.
