Gamification in the classroom is gaining a lot of traction. Students are geared to games. Probably not a stretch for new teachers who grew up with gaming systems in the home, but more of one for those of us with first generation Pong and Breakout. Games follow a formula. They become increasingly difficult as players master skills. Specific actions produce specific results. Learning those processes is key. Gamification takes the principles of games and incorporates them into the curriculum.
