Morning Zen

Do no harm. Focus on the positive and act out of goodness. Driving by this morning a gathering of like minded people. Waking early to come together for a common purpose. To grow. To flourish. To alter the path of the self to that of the Divine. Seeing reminders along the way as to stand up and do better.

Principles. Guiding forces. Not even signposts along the route but large obelisks reminding us of who we are and what it is we believe. Read briefly that flexibility is a fixed principle, funny that flexibility can be fixed. It is it's nature to not be fixed. Important none the less to have flexibilbity and the ability to adapt and change and "go with the flow". Difficult to allow the unfolding of life to occur without constraint and manipluation to guide anticipated outcomes in a manner of our choosing instead of a manner directed by the divine. Open to the flow instead of building dams and digging ditches and building up sandbags that may get dropped on our heads like a distorted version of roger rabbit.

Morning Zen

The past couple of mornings on the drive into the city the little birds fly. They burst out of the trees and the brush and the grass and fly. They fill the sky above the truck and look like leaves blowing in a strong wind, not coming to ground. It is really very beautiful, these birds. I am not sure what is their species, or what sound they make, or to where they go, or why 6:50 is the magical time they awaken and fly.

The coming to know the self. The who we are and why we are and how we are. What actions we take predicated on knowledge at the time. Instinctual reactions to situations. Growing and changing as we learn more of the world and the impressions made upon us.
Tree rings show the growth. Rain, drought, wind, nature reflect in that ring. Does man have a growth ring? Do we have a count, reckoning of our lives as trees?
