Tuesday Price

Filled up at the Flying J. I say filled up but I have not hit the true full mark in who knows how long. I just don't seen to ever have enough on me to fill up all the way. That being said I have not got an accurate reading on the MPG on the Tacoma as of late. I would like to know how much I am getting a gallon.

Frost

It is difficult to see but there is some great frost on the windshield this morning. Perfect starlike crystals formed from the cold air and the wiper fluid. I have not found my good ice scraper so I need to drop by the local auto supply store to find a good one. This is Post Road in the morning too, on my way. It was a beautiful sky this morning as well. It should be a great day.
Have a good Thanksgiving if I do not talk to you all before then.

Torch and Beads

Here is the torch fired up for lampworking or bead making. It is fun and relatively easy. Brent has open torch night every Tuesday. Drop by and have a seat and make some beads. Brent will give a lesson on how to make different shapes and objects. We have everything you need at the studio for a successful bead making experience.

This is a good site for Fonts. I like Fonts they can be fun. I am really looking for a site/software where one can create their own fonts for free.

la Bagette Breakfast

We had brunch at La Bagette. It was very tastey. The French Toast was sort of breaded. It had a crunchy coating of goodness. They had strawberries and whipped cream which I got on the side. The coffee was good too. Strong and flavorful. They also have a gourmet grocery inside the place. Looks like great cheeses and meats and breads. Check it out if you get the chance.

Shell Bowl

Here is a nice shell style bowl. It is great color and form is pretty good. I made a companion piece to this one too. If you need a set of three let me know.

Dinner at Cafe Nova

Great food, great friends, great atmosphere, great waitress, great manager, even a great website.
This photo was after desert. I did not get one of the meal. I had a cheese plate that was outstanding. Three cheeses for $12. I had the swiss, hard goat, and the blue. wonderful presented the cheeses satisfied the palate. This is a must have item if you are into cheese or even like cheese, or even if you are afraid of cheese.
Angela got the Fried things and they were tastey. She also had the soup of the day and found it could have been the whole meal. She also got the Beets.
Joe and Joy our friends got salmon and the fish for dinner they like it muchly.
I had the Pasta Entree. I do not dig red sauces so they changed it up and went with a penne pasta and butter sauce. Rarely, have I been to a place that will make something off the menu so easily and happily. The pasta had shrimp, mussels, and lobster. It was coated in a nice parmasean cheese that melted in nicely. Probably one of the best pasta meals I have had in a long while.
The Manager Wade brought us out desert. Chocolate tort with some chesscake layer and graham cracker crust. It was a delight. Smooth and tastely. the chocolate was understated and sweet without being sugary. It was no trouble to finish it off. Everyone liked the lemon tort except for Joy. The filo dough something was good too but if chocolate is on the table why eat anything else.
So Cafe Nova located on Western and like 43rd is my most recommended new place to eat in OKC. The price may be a bit out of reach but for a treat it is most worth it.
Ice will like the bar to be sure.

Flying J

This is from the Flying J 11-15-05 around 9:30 pm. I think it is still the best price in town at $1.91. Predictions? Will gas go back up next week to gear up for Thanksgiving travel or stay low so at least George won't get any more heat for the price at the pump?

why do I have to shrink and go away so someone else gets to grow?"
